FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Can you extend the deadline for me?
A: To be fair to all entrants, the deadline is firm. Submissions close March 26, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
Q: I am having problems regarding the online submission process.
A: We strongly suggest you read all the qualification information and this FAQ. If you still have questions, please email the Georgia Chapter Administrator at administrator@ga.asid.org with the issue that you are having. Please allow 24 hours for a response.
Q: What if my Design Statement exceeds the word count?
A: Anything beyond the word count will be automatically excluded and the text will be cut off. Please check the word count of the design statement.
Q: Who decides the winners?
A: A jury of respected designers from other ASID chapters selects the winners.
Q: How should we name the image files?
A: The file names for the images must include the Project Name and must be numbered sequentially. Entrants must credit the photographer for each photo by name in the file.
Example:
- Smith Kitchen Remodel_Photographer-1.jpeg
- Smith Kitchen Floorplan_Photographer-2.jpeg
Q: What happens if I accidentally leave the name of the firm in the project description?
A. It will be disqualified. Please review your submissions before saving and submitting.
Q: Do I have to be a ASID Georgia Chapter member?
A: Yes. The primary designer primarily responsible for the interior design of the project MUST be an ASID Georgia Chapter member in good standing.
Q: Does everyone on my team need to be a member of ASID?
A: No. Only the submitting designer MUST be a member in good standing.
Q: Can an ASID GA Industry Partners enter a project?
A: Yes. ASID Industry Partners are invited to participate in the category of “Custom Design”.
Q: What if I don't know my ASID membership number or one of my team member(s)?
A: Both can be obtained from ASID headquarters; their phone number is 202-546-3480 and email at membership@asid.org. You may also email the Georgia Chapter Administrator at administrator@ga.asid.org. Please allow 24 hours for a response.
Q: Can I enter multiple projects in the same category?
A: Yes, you can submit a maximum of three (3) projects per category.
Q: Can I enter my project in multiple categories?
A: No. A Project may NOT be entered in multiple categories.
Q: Can you tell me if my entry won?
A: No. Winners are announced during the awards ceremony and posted on the ASID GA website.
Q: Can you change the names on the award?
A: The firm name and designer’s names are printed as entered into application, please check it carefully. The primary designer’s name may NOT be changed unless misspelled.
Q: Can a name be added to the award?
A: The firm name and designer’s names are printed as entered into application. If an error is made on our part we will reissue the award for no charge. If the error or omission was made on your part we will reissue the award at a cost of $15.00 per copy.
